Dramatic footage of a standoff between two groups of machete-wielding gang members in Tsim Sha Tsui emerged online, with police saying they have arrested seven people for offenses including unlawful assembly and possession of offensive weapons.

It is understood that the video that circulated online lately was taken in the small hours of Saturday (Oct 14), involving gang members from two of the city’s triad groups 14K and Sun Yee On.
The standoff allegedly took place at around 2 am on 27 Chatham Road South. Sources said the clash came after several Sun Yee On gang members had injured a 14K gang member earlier at a bar.
Among the seven arrested include a former Hong Kong Premier League football player Chan Cham-hei, according to sources.
