The incident occurred around 7 pm today when the woman was walking in the pedestrian tunnel that connects Ngau Chi Wan Market and Choi Hung Estate.
The man in his 40s suddenly slashed the woman with a cleaver knife and fled towards the direction of Ngau Chi Wan Market.
The woman failed to dodge the attack in time and sustained injuries to her limbs. She was later treated by paramedics and sent to United Christian Hospital in a conscious state.
