Online media D100 radio will suspend its free PBS channel on July 1 until further notice, as an adjustment to cope with its financial difficulties.

Some programs on its paid Hong Kong channel will be played on YouTube and non subscribers can enjoy as well. The operations of the station will not be affected. Other programming schedule will be announced in due course.
The station said it almost shuttered under the pandemic and its income from YouTube greatly declined. There is also a serious lack in hosts for current affairs programs.
It added the safety of workers and hosts is the priority of the station and the suspension is one of the necessary measures to be taken.
D100 encouraged the public to subscribe to its Hong Kong channel and help them survive under critical circumstances.
There are four channels on D100 radio – PBS channel, Hong Kong channel, the Third and the Fourth channel.
One of D100 hosts, “Giggs” Edmund Wan Yiu-sing was earlier arrested and charged with sedition.
