Former NFL star Jarvis Landry took in the racing action under the lights at Sha Tin on Thursday night, soaking up the atmosphere alongside influencer Deli Rivera. The five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver was all smiles as he experienced Hong Kong’s unique blend of world-class sport and nightlife.
Landry, best known for his standout seasons with the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns, led the NFL in receptions in 2017. He could be anywhere in the world — yet chose to spend his evening immersed in the thrill of Hong Kong racing.
The visit began with a warm welcome from Hong Kong Jockey Club Head of Racing Marketing Hanane Sabri, who greeted Landry at the new Members’ Main Entrance before leading a private tour of Sha Tin’s state-of-the-art facilities. The former NFL star took time to meet fans and enjoy a taste of the city’s racing culture.
A highlight for Landry was taking a trackside spot to take in a race, watching the fifth race alongside HKJC CEO Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges.
Landry and Rivera also met with Nicole Purton, wife of eight-time champion jockey Zac Purton, and Alexis Badel's wife Eva Crone.
Racing returns to Happy Valley on Sunday for a rare daytime meeting at the iconic venue.
