Zijin Mining's profit jumps 61 percent last year as non-ferrous metals prices soar

Zijin Mining (2899) recorded a 61.6 percent rise in net profit last year as prices of non-ferrous metals such as gold and copper soared amid geopolitical uncertainties and AI frenzy.

Profit was 51.8 billion yuan for the year and its revenue also jumped nearly 15 percent to 349.1 billion yuan. 

It proposed to distribute a final dividend of 38 fen. The miner also plans to buy back between 1.5 billion yuan and 2.5 billion yuan worth of A shares for the employee stock ownership scheme or share incentive.
