Xie resigned due to her desire to devote more time to her personal endeavour, according to the announcement published on Wednesday.
During an interim leadership arrangement, Echo Huang Shaomei, vice chairman and executive director of the company, will be responsible for the overall leadership of the group’s day-to-day management and operations, and provide strategic guidance to the management team.
The company earlier reappointed Henry Cheng Kar-shun as chairman and executive director, with effect from January 9 this year, replacing the retired Philip Cheung Fai-yet, and appointing Huang as vice chairman.
