Hong Kong insurer starts new chapter

Standard Life (Asia) announced yesterday that it is starting a new chapter following the completion of the sale of the company by Standard Life Oversea, a wholly owned subsidiary of Standard Life Aberdeen, to Heng An Standard Life Insurance Company.

The company will be led by the new chairman Zhenyu Liu and chief executive Olivia Liu, who are both senior executives with HASL, with immediate effect.

Olivia will be stationed in Hong Kong to lead the company.

The proposed sale was announced in 2017, while the transaction was completed on June 30.
