This acquisition in Singapore solidifies CEG's position as one of the largest operators of Montessori schools in Asia, further cementing its commitment to transforming education and better serving families across the region. With a network of 27 campuses spanning Hong Kong, Singapore, Bali, and key cities in Mainland China, CEG provides high-quality, child-centered learning experiences for children ages 0-12.
The acquired preschool campuses, located in the Singapore neighborhoods of Bishan, Bidadari, Hillview, and Ubi, will be transformed, bringing an enhanced experience for children and parents alike. "Completing this acquisition provides CEG an entry into one of the leading education markets globally. We are excited to establish roots in Singapore and look forward to serving the families here." said Steve Xu, CEG's Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
CEG's schools provide an unparalleled experience for both children and their parents, emphasizing several key areas.
To begin with, they offer a structured curriculum that is customized for each child. This curriculum is scientifically sequenced to nurture children’s independence at every stage of their development. Each child’s path is guided by their interests and choices, ensuring deep engagement and a love for learning.
In addition, CEG takes pride in its true dual-language learning approach. Unlike many schools that simply offer bilingual instruction, CEG immerses children in both languages through a comprehensive curriculum. This full-time approach allows children the flexibility to learn in either language context, enriching their language development.
Moreover, CEG schools excel in creating an exceptional experience for both children and parents. They prioritize a robust educational program while facilitating busy parents' involvement in their children's education. Parents receive real-time insights into daily activities and progress within the curriculum. Importantly, CEG schools do not impose any fees that do not directly support tuition, eliminating costs such as capital levies, material fees, debentures, and registration fees.
Lastly, CEG fosters a close-knit school community that also benefits from the advantages of a larger network. Families enjoy the warmth of an intimate environment where everyone knows each other, while still accessing the resources and quality standards of a broader community. This unique combination allows families to cultivate personal connections on campus while enjoying network-wide perks like free events, camps across Asia, and seamless transitions in case of relocation.
In September, the Ubi campus underwent a successful transformation and has reopened as Nest Preschool. Nest Preschool features refreshed learning environments, enriching indoor and outdoor play spaces, and an authentic Montessori curriculum designed to meet the evolving needs of infants and preschoolers.
To celebrate this new beginning, Nest Preschool Ubi invites the local community to join for a grand opening celebration on November 16th. This exciting event marks the opening of its doors to provide a nurturing environment for young learners.
Through this acquisition and the subsequent transformation, CEG is poised to enhance the "Primary One Readiness" of children in Singapore. The Montessori-based approach, with its emphasis on hands-on learning, self-directed exploration, and the development of essential life skills, equips children with the adaptability and capabilities needed to excel in the primary school system and beyond.
