Hong Kong is currently committed to developing innovation and technology, with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology holding its first "Unicorn Day" last Thursday (May 23) to showcase the innovative achievements and exchanges of participating companies.
The "Unicorn Day" was held again today, which included research sessions, investor sharing, introductions and exchange sessions that allow HKUST start-ups to explore cooperation opportunities and exchange opinions with potential investors and stakeholders from all walks of life.
HKUST has also signed cooperation agreements with business incubation platforms in Saudi Arabia and Shanghai, including cooperation with Saudi venture capital company Beta Lab, which will help HKUST start-ups gain access to key resources and networks in overseas markets.
President Nancy Ip Yuk-yu of HKUST said that it is preparing to build an "InnoBay" in Hong Kong, adding deep technology incubation facilities on campus, and is actively allocating resources to support on-campus start-ups and research projects with knowledge transfer potential.
