The Hong Kong Police Force had quite a busy night as they searched for assailants over three car-ramming and stabbing attacks in Tuen Mun and Tin Shui Wai in the early hours of Wednesday that left three people wounded, with two of them unconscious.
The first attack took place on Hoi Wing Road in Tuen Mun near the Sam Shing stop at around 1 am, according to police.
It is understood that the 19-year-old male victim Fung was driving a Benz sedan when two other vehicles rammed and intercepted it. Several knife-wielding men then jumped out of the vehicles and attacked the 19-year-old.
Police and paramedics were later called to the scene. Fung was found unconscious after being slashed in both his legs. He was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital for resuscitation.
The second attack took place on Hong King Street in Yuen Long at around 3 am.
Police said they received a report from a 28-year-old man, Chan, that he and his friends were ambushed by some 20 men after their ride had made a stop on Hong King Street.
Sources said four to five vehicles blocked off the car Chan and his friends were in after they had parked their ride, with more than 20 assailants - armed with wooden sticks and knives - jumping out of the vehicles and started smashing Chan’s ride.
Chan managed to drive off and file a report with the police at Yuen Long Police Station. No injuries were reported.
The last attack happened at around 5 am, when a private car with three people on board was intercepted by several vehicles on Tin Fuk Road in Tin Shui Wai near Tin Tsz Estate.
The driver managed to escape from the attack on foot while the two passengers were attacked by the knife-wielding men.
One of the passengers fell into a coma after suffering from knife wounds to his limbs, while the other remained conscious with minor injuries. Both were hospitalized at Tuen Mun Hospital.
