Cinemas and restaurants offer up to 50pc discounts to celebrate National Day

Half-price tickets for moviegoers and 30 percent off food items are among the special offers provided by cinemas and eateries for citizens to celebrate National Day.

The Hong Kong Theatres Association Limited said 64 cinemas will provide 50 percent off for all film tickets on October 1, applied to all ticket types.

Discounts for children, students, and the elderly will be remained.

The film tickets will go on sale this Wednesday (Sep 27) at noon. Each person can only purchase a maximum of 4 tickets at the theatre's box office, while online ticket purchases are subject to the ticket purchase restrictions of each theatre.

In addition, over 1,700 restaurants in the city will offer 30 percent discounts on National Day.

Eateries like Maxim Food and Fairwood will sell certain set meals at 70 percent of the original prices, with certain restaurants such as Tai Hing offering 30 percent off for dine-in customers.
