Chai Wan once again became the most devastated area under heavy rain Thursday morning, with an underground car park flooded and a busy roundabout turning into a river.

Online photos showed the flood level reaching the rolling chassis of some sedans at the Wan Tsui Estate car park. The car park management office reminded owners to drive their cars away at around 6 am.
An owner was seen walking to the car park barefoot before getting in his car.
Flooding also occurred on several main access roads in the district, including Wan Tsui Road, Chai Wan Road roundabout, and Lin Shing Road.
A landslide happened near Lin Shing Road, with muddy water pouring down Wan Tsui Road.
The Drainage Services Department said it has deployed 60 emergency teams to various districts for cleansing operations to ensure the drainage system's smooth and quick recovery.
The red rainstorm warning was issued at 5.55 am on Thursday. According to the observatory, some parts of the city have received more than 100 mm of rain since midnight.
