Two drivers arrested for running over and killing man in Kwun Tong

A man was pronounced dead after being run over by two minibusses in Kwun Tong on Thursday night.

Around 7.27 pm yesterday (Jul 27), a minibus heading from Hong Ning Road towards Kwun Tong accidentally ran over a 59-year-old man crossing the road near Ming Chi Street.

The man was knocked into the other lane and run over again by another minibus heading to Sau Mau Ping via the Hong Ning Road.

The man suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 48- and 50-year-old drivers were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death.

The case has been handed over to the Kowloon East traffic unit, and police are appealing for members of the public who witnessed the accident to provide information at 3661 0262.
