The Hong Kong Football Club informed its employees that those who refuse to get the Covid jab without valid reasons will not be considered for pay raises, bonuses and promotions in the future.
In a memo to its employees encouraging vaccination, the club said those who received the two-dose vaccine before June 1 will get a HK$2,000 bonus, while those who failed to get the first jab before June 30 without valid reasons will have their job prospects affected.
Employees who finish their two-dose vaccination before July 31 will also be entitled to the HK$2,000 bonus.
For every jab, one paid leave will be given to the employees, according to the memo.
The memo also added when the vaccination rate for the club’s employees reach 100 percent, there will be an extra HK$1,000 bonus awarded to the employees.
“Those who can provide valid medical reasons with proof can also benefit from the bonuses,” it wrote.
