Another pro-independence group winds up

A student group advocating Hong Kong independence decided to disband and swith to working from bases overseas.

Studentlocalism announced on social media this afternoon that they ceased operations in Hong Kong, and work will be carried out by members overseas, including Taiwan, US, and Australia.

This is the second pro-independence group to have dissolved in the hours after the national security law was passed in Beijing.

The Hong Kong National Front announced this morning they will disband their Hong Kong branch and shift operations to oversea branches.

Prominent activists Nathan Law Kwun-chung, Joshua Wong Chi-fung and Agnes Chow Ting also announced their withdrawal from Demosisto, which advocates "self determination.'' Photo: File photo.
