Ayra WangChiu's remarks came during a seminar on AI's potential for innovating the film industry, hosted by the Institute for Innovation, Translation and Policy Research of Hong Kong Baptist University yesterday.
Hong Kong's film industry should leverage technological advancements, especially artificial intelligence, to regain its global prominence and reclaim its status as the "Hollywood of the East," lawmaker Duncan Chiu Tat-kun said.

"Technological advancements, including computers and the internet, have already reshaped our daily lives," Chiu said.
He expressed optimism that Hong Kong's film industry could soar to new heights by embracing technology, citing the city's historical success in cultural and artistic endeavors. "With the integration of cutting-edge technology, our films can once again shine on the global stage," Chiu said.
Rocky Cheng Chung-ngam, chief executive of Cyberport,highlighted the role of AI in revolutionizing film production.
