Swire yesterday said it is launching new evening promotions in its three shopping malls - Pacific Place in Admiralty, Cityplaza in Tai Koo and Citygate Outlets in Tung Chung - until October 31.
"Swire Properties fully supports the government's call. We are keen to contribute to developing a thriving night-time economy in Hong Kong," said deputy director, retail (Hong Kong) Theresa Leung Nga-yee.
"We are very excited to be introducing a diverse range of new promotions, including live entertainment events and member benefits, which are all designed to activate our malls in the evenings and inspire the public to enjoy night-time shopping and leisure activities. In addition, we are encouraging our tenant partners to extend their operating hours to take advantage of these new business opportunities."
Various evening promotions and offers have been rolled out since last Friday, including movie ticket giveaways, free parking for night spending, additional points rewards for members and exclusive live music and dance performances.
Henderson Land said it is launching "After 8 Night-time Consumption Triple Rewards" and a series of evening entertainment in its three malls - Mira Place in Tsim Sha Tsui, MCP Central & MCP Discovery in Tseung Kwan O, and MOSTown in Ma On Shan.
Registered members of Mira Place or HCOINS rewards program can get shopping e-coupons or cash vouchers, earn double reward points and free parking rewards for spending a certain amount at the three malls after 8pm.
A total of 10 music shows will be held in the malls during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays.
Mira Place and MCP Central will host themed night markets.
"The group actively supports the government's plan to boost the night economy by launching a series of special night-time performances and night bazaars, and distributing 12,000 shopping e-coupons during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays to attract more visitors to malls and stimulate night-time consumption," said Henderson Land executive director Augustine Wong Ho-ming.
"We hope that by joining hands with the government and all sectors of the community to promote night economy, we can give a boost to the retail and catering industries."
