The activities at tmtplaza, Olympian City, Citywalk, China Hong Kong City, Gold Coast Piazza and Lee Tung Avenue mark the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Long queues have formed at the machines across the six malls, where more than 10,000 gifts, including popular snacks and beverages, have been distributed. Families with children are among those who have made a special trip to take part, adding to the lively holiday crowds.

Olympian City, tmtplaza and Citywalk have been particularly busy. At each of these malls, visitors can also watch Asian Games events live and free of charge on large screens. The broadcasts have attracted shoppers who stop to follow the competitions and cheer on Hong Kong athletes. With the team setting several all-time best records in multiple events, the sporting action has brought another focus to the National Day gatherings.
Sino Group’s celebrations are visible beyond its shopping malls. Thousands of national and Hong Kong SAR flags were hung earlier at dozens of the group’s properties, bringing festive colour to locations across the city. Together, the mall activities and flag displays have given members of the public several ways to share in the occasion, whether they are joining a gashapon queue, watching an event or spending the holiday with family.
