Officer injured after police HQ paper shredder catches fire

A female police officer suffered facial burns on Tuesday after a paper shredder caught fire inside an office in the West Wing of the Wan Chai Police Headquarters.

The incident occurred at 10.57am, and she was later transported to Ruttonjee Hospital for further medical care while remaining conscious.

It is understood that the injured officer's forearms were bandaged and dressings were applied to her face.
