Keeping Chinese Traditions Alive A Hong Kong Brand Preserving Folk Heritage

The 2026 Eastern District Dragon Boat Race and Carnival was recently held in Chai Wan.

For many years, Hong Kong original brand LUYOUYE®（碌柚葉®） Pomelo Leaf Body Wash（碌柚葉®沐浴露） — with LUYOUYE being a coined brand name derived from the Mandarin pronunciation of "pomelo leaf" — has been invited to participate in government-supported community dragon boat cultural events.

Through the distribution of pomelo leaf body wash, mugwort gifts and cultural activities, the brand hopes to help local residents and overseas visitors rediscover traditions that are gradually fading from modern city life.

Official Recognition for Folk Heritage Preservation

During this year's event, LUYOUYE was invited to establish the "Hong Kong Three-Generation Pomelo King Pomelo Leaf Cultural Heritage Pavilion”（香港“三代柚王”碌柚葉文化傳承館）, promoting Hong Kong's pomelo leaf culture to overseas visitors and international dragon boat participants.

The organisers further presented LUYOUYE with the "Hong Kong Three-Generation Pomelo King Pioneering Pomelo Leaf Body Wash Cultural Heritage Award "（香港“三代柚王”首創碌柚葉沐浴露傳承獎）.

In addition, a government pioneering-supported dragon boat invitational race was named the "Hong Kong Three-Generation Pomelo King Pomelo Leaf Cultural Heritage Cup"（香港“三代柚王”首創碌柚葉沐浴露傳承盃）, recognising the brand's long-standing contribution to promoting Dragon Boat Festival traditions, its pioneering role in pomelo leaf body wash in Hong Kong, and its efforts in bringing pomelo leaf culture from Hong Kong to overseas Chinese communities around the world.

LUYOUYE Carries Years of Dragon Boat Blessings

Many local residents say that after years of supporting dragon boat events, LUYOUYE has become closely associated with the blessings and festive spirit of the Dragon Boat Festival.

Consequently, thousands of locals and overseas visitors form long queues each year to collect the pomelo leaf body wash and take this Dragon Boat Festival blessing home with them .
