Free admission to M+ and HKPM draws nearly 7,000 visitors as of noon

Nearly 7,000 visitors flooded into cultural landmarks including the M+ museum and the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM)  before noon on the handover holiday (July 1), with both venues offering free admission.

Among the visitors, M+ recorded close to 4,800 entries, while the HKPM welcomed nearly 2,200 visitors as of 11.30am.

Both M+ and the HKPM will remain open until 8pm tonight. To ensure visitors have sufficient time to tour the exhibitions, the final admission time for M+ has been set for 7pm.

As for the Hong Kong Palace Museum, all free standard general admission tickets for today have been fully booked.

However, visitors can still purchase other types of tickets for the special exhibitions through various online booking platforms.
