A police motorcycle collided with a 5-year-old boy in Happy Valley on Friday morning (Mar 13), leaving both the child and the officer injured.

The accident happened at around 8.02am on Sing Woo Road, outside Nam Wing Building at No. 49. Police said the boy was crossing the road when he was struck, causing him to fall. The motorcycle overturned, and the officer suffered minor leg injuries.
Photos from the scene showed the police motorcycle on its side, with the boy being comforted by the officer and bystanders. The child sustained injuries to his hand and possibly other areas but remained conscious. Both were treated at the scene before being taken to Ruttonjee Hospital.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash. No updates have been released on the victims’ current condition.
