The HKTDC’s 12th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show opened today at AsiaWorld-Expo, while the 42nd Hong Kong International Jewellery Show starts Wednesday at the HKCEC, together drawing around 4,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions.
The Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show focuses on raw materials with over 20 country and trade pavilions, including a debut Zhushan Turquoise Pavilion from Hubei Province featuring 11 exhibitors of high-quality natural turquoise.
Other highlights include the Tanzanite Foundation, 37 International Colored Gemstone Association members, and Australian Lightning Ridge black opal.
Three dedicated zones—Hall of Fine Diamonds, Treasures of Nature, and Treasures of Ocean—display premium diamonds, coloured gemstones and pearls.
Standout pieces include a fancy intense pink VVS2 diamond from Hong Kong’s Arihant Star, an 11-carat Colombian emerald from U.S. exhibitor Emco Gem, and large 14–15.8 mm freshwater pearl strands from France’s Alain Boite.
GIA Hong Kong Laboratory introduces a new colored gemstone report for clearer type, treatment and origin details.
Seminars cover natural diamond trends, ethical traceability with blockchain, and Zhushan turquoise promotion.
The Jewellery Show, opening 4–8 March, features finished jewellery, designer brands and mounting components. New additions include the World Gold Council’s Hard Pure Gold Pavilion with 11 mainland exhibitors and the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Pavilion.
The Designer Galleria hosts about 50 creatives, while the expanded Hall of Fame showcases major international brands.
Free shuttles connect AsiaWorld-Expo and Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Muslim-friendly facilities include prayer rooms, mosque shuttles and hotel/restaurant lists.
International buyers receive exclusive dining, hotel and air-ticket perks via Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Hong Kong Tourism Board partnerships.
The hybrid Exhibition+ format continues with AI-powered Click2Match for online matching until 13 March and Scan2Match for seamless follow-up after in-person meetings.
