Opened beverage with sediment found at Nam Cheong supermarket sparks police probe

Police were called to a supermarket in V Walk at Nam Cheong Station on Wednesday morning (Feb 4) after staff discovered a bottle of beverage had been opened and contained sediment.

At around 10.54am, beverage company employees conducting a routine store check at the supermarket on Sham Mong Road noticed the unusual bottled drink. Fearing possible tampering or contamination, they reported the matter to police.

Officers arrived and questioned three staff members, who later left after assisting with the investigation.

Police have classified the case as a request for assistance and are looking into whether any criminal elements are involved.
