Motorcyclist injured in three-vehicle pileup on Stonecutters Bridge

A female motorcyclist was injured Friday night after a collision involving two private cars and her motorcycle on the Stonecutters Bridge.

The accident happened around 10pm yesterday as the three vehicles were travelling towards Yuen Long.

The impact caused the motorcycle to overturn, scattering parts across the roadway.

The rider suffered abrasions to her arms and legs but remained conscious.

Paramedics treated her at the scene before taking her to Princess Margaret Hospital.

Police cordoned off part of the area to investigate the cause.

Several lanes towards the airport were temporarily closed, causing heavy traffic to build up until the roadway was cleared.
