The Immigration Department has assisted around 330 residents affected by the tragic fire at Wang Fuk Court in applying for replacement of identity cards and other travel documents.
The department on Monday has distributed 70 identity cards, more than 300 travel documents and certificates as well as 112 Home Return Permits and other travel documents issued by mainland authorities.
ImmD arranged special transport last Friday for about 330 affected residents to apply for their personal documents and certifications at the Immigration Headquarters in Tseung Kwan O.
On Monday, the printed documents were delivered back to five temporary shelters.
It added that the Immigration Headquarters will remain open during non-office hours until Saturday (Dec 6) to assist residents with their identity card and SAR passports applications.
They will continue to provide special transport to pick up residents from the Tung Cheong Street Community Hall and the Tai Po Community Centre to apply for their relevant applications at the Immigration Headquarters and the China Travel Service Document Services HK Limited Tseung Kwan O Centre.
