The Consulate General of Indonesia in Hong Kong has confirmed the fatalities and stated that two more people are injured.
Sringatin, spokesperson for the Asian Migrants’ Coordinating Body (AMCB), noted that the status of the seven missing Indonesians remains uncertain, with no information on whether they are still at the scene or have been rescued.
She urged the SAR government to share information and facilitate communication with relevant Indonesian authorities for follow-up actions.
Meanwhile, the Philippine's Department of Foreign Affairs has stated that, as for now, it has not received any reports of Filipino domestic helpers dead or injured in the fire.
However, the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong has received “unverified sources” stating that some Filipino domestic helpers may be trapped at the site of the fire.
