Two teenagers stabbed in Shek Kip Mei Estate; suspect still at large

A brutal knife attack occurred at a public housing block in Shek Kip Mei on Monday evening when two young men were slashed and left covered in blood inside Mei Yue House on Tai Hang Sai Estate.

The violence unfolded shortly after 7pm yesterday. The victims, both teenagers, managed to flee to one of their apartments for safety before relatives called police.

Arriving officers found one youth unconscious with serious stab wounds to his head, back, and hands, while the second had slashed fingers.

Paramedics rushed the more gravely injured teen to Princess Margaret Hospital and the other to Caritas Medical Centre; the unconscious victim later regained consciousness.

Blood smeared the walls and floor of an elevator in the building, turning the small space into a gruesome scene.

Heavily armed police carrying shields and wearing tactical vests fanned out across the estate and recovered a suspected weapon, but the attackers remain at large.

Investigators are still piecing together the motive and hunting for whoever carried out the ambush.
