Hong Kong Baptist University celebrated the grand opening of StarHub—its first dedicated career support and entrepreneurship incubation center, giving students a vibrant new space to turn ideas into reality and prepare for life after graduation.
Located on campus and open to all students, the brightly designed hub combines co-working areas, prototype display zones, and direct access to industry mentors.
Thirteen prominent business leaders have already signed on as volunteer advisors, offering free guidance to help young entrepreneurs navigate funding, strategy, and career choices.
The launch ceremony also honored a HK$3.6 million donation from the Koo’s Giving Charitable Foundation, which will fund a pioneering program at StarHub specifically tailored for students with special educational needs.
The initiative promises personalized career coaching, custom-matched internships, and targeted graduate job placements to ensure every student, regardless of background, can transition smoothly into the workforce.
University officials thanked the foundation for its transformative gift and hailed StarHub as a major leap forward in fostering innovation, inclusivity, and real-world readiness across the entire student body.
