Yuen Long tragic wall collapse claims life of female worker

A female worker lost her life when a brick wall collapsed on her during a village house demolition in Yuen Long.

The fatal industrial accident happened at around 11am at a site located on Shan Pui Road, where an 8-meter by 2-meter section of wall collapsed and trapped the female worker beneath the debris.

The worker was rushed to Pok Oi Hospital. Despite resuscitation attempts, she was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival. 

The Labour Department has dispatched personnel to investigate the cause of the accident.
