Fuselage and tail section of crashed cargo plane moved to To Kau Wan

The fuselage and tail section of the Emirates SkyCargo Boeing 747-400 freighter that crashed at Hong Kong International Airport last Monday have been transported to To Kau Wan on Lantau Island, where they are expected to be moved ashore shortly.

Police officers from the Crime New Territories South Region and Marine Region, along with staff from the Planning Department, arrived at the site on Monday to assess the situation. Some personnel were seen wearing helmets as they entered the work area.

As of around 3pm, the tail section remained secured on a barge, while the fuselage had been placed on a semi-submersible vessel. Both are expected to be brought ashore later today.
