The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) announced on Wednesday the results of the 2025 Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (DSE) grade reviews, revealing an additional top scorer who achieved the highest rating of 5** in six subjects.
Following the review, Tsang Ming-chung from St. Paul Co-educational College attained 5** in Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics (Compulsory Part), and three elective subjects, along with an "Attained" rating in Citizenship and Social Development.
This brings the total number of top scorers in this year’s DSE to 17, up from the previously announced 16. St. Paul Co-educational College now boasts four top scorers this year, including three announced earlier.
Among the 17 top performers, 10 maintained their perfect scores in both the compulsory and extended sections of Mathematics, while only one student achieved the maximum 5** in seven subjects—covering four electives alongside the three core subjects.
The HKEAA has notified students who applied for grade reviews via SMS, using the sender name “#HKEAA,” provided they submitted valid mobile numbers.
School candidates can also access their reviewed results electronically through their respective schools, while private candidates will receive written notifications by mail. Night school and private candidates may check their results online through their DSE accounts.
Additionally, the HKEAA will share updated results with the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS), tertiary institutions, and the Education Bureau’s Electronic Advance Application System for Post-secondary Programmes (E-APP) for candidates whose grades improved after the review.
