Three drivers were sent to the hospital following a crash on Tai Po Road in the early hours of Sunday.
The accident occurred at around 4 am when the private car driver lost control of his vehicle while driving along the Kowloon Reservoir, resulting in a collision with a taxi.
Meanwhile, another taxi failed to stop in time before rearing into the front cab and crashing towards the hillside.
A 65-year-old taxi driver surnamed Tsui sustained injuries to his neck, chest and limbs and was trapped in the car after the accident. The firefighters rescued him after around an hour.
Another 62-year-old taxi driver, surnamed Tam, as well as the 53-year-old sedan driver, surname Lam, were both injured and sent to the hospital.
All three were sent to the hospital in a conscious state.
Lam was arrested for dangerous driving and failed to provide specimens for alcohol analysis after the preliminary investigation.
