The Hong Kong Jockey Club has once again demonstrated its unwavering dedication to community service during Volunteer Month, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to societal betterment.
With caring for the community deeply embedded in its ethos, the Club continues to set an exemplary standard through its charitable initiatives and world-class racing events.

As one of the world’s foremost charity donors, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust made a record-breaking contribution of HK$40.1 billion in tax and approved charity donations last season. Beyond its philanthropic achievements, the Club takes pride in its global leadership in horse racing, which not only entertains millions but also enhances Hong Kong’s reputation as a premier destination for international sport.
This spirit of service was vividly showcased during “May ‧ We CARE”, the Club’s Volunteer Month initiative, where members of the 2,000-strong CARE@hkjc Volunteer Team—comprising full-time and part-time staff as well as retirees—participated in nearly 30 diverse community activities. These efforts spanned sports, youth engagement, animal welfare, support for the underprivileged and elderly, and environmental protection, reflecting the Club’s holistic approach to social responsibility.
The volunteer team places special emphasis on district-based programmes, working closely with local organisations to design initiatives tailored to the unique needs of each community. In a heartwarming gesture ahead of the Dragon Boat Festival, staff and volunteers crafted 1,000 personalised cards filled with heartfelt messages and artwork, which will be distributed to elderly residents in Sham Shui Po this weekend by more than 160 volunteers.
