The Greater Bay Area International Clinical Trial Institute (GBAICTI) has partnered with the LKS Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong and the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong to advance clinical trial collaboration.
Following a collaboration meeting on Wednesday (May 21), the GBAICTI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a long-term, stable, and strategic partnership among the three parties.
Under the partnership, the GBAICTI aims to better integrate Hong Kong's clinical trial resources and enhance the city's international competitiveness in biomedical innovation.
The GBAICTI will provide comprehensive support, particularly in coordinating multi-center cross-boundary clinical trials, connecting healthcare institutions across the GBA, and streamlining processes.
Meanwhile, the three parties will also strengthen talent training cooperation to further enhance the city's overall capability in clinical research.
GBAICTI was opened in November in the Hong Kong Park of the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone, with the mission of developing Hong Kong into an international health and medical innovation hub.
