The incident occurred around 3pm today near Pineapple Dam, when two of the women sustained scratches to their hands after being ambushed by the monkeys.
All three remained conscious and were transported to Yan Chai Hospital for treatment, with one requiring bandaging to her left forearm.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Hong Kong is known for its population of over 1,000 wild monkeys, with Shing Mun Reservoir being a particular hotspot for human-monkey incidents.
In November 2023, a woman was hospitalized after being bitten on the arm by a monkey while hiking in the same location with friends.
