If the crown fits

Kimi Cai Xiaodie made the right choice of withdrawing from Miss Hong Kong as it has made way for a bigger crown - Miss Asia.

The 23-year-old model won a HK$100,000 prize after winning Asia Television's annual beauty pageant in the Hong Kong region.

"The first thing I will do is to eat hot pot as I haven't had it in two months," Cai, who said she was surprised and excited about the result, said. "I will also invite other candidates to have a great meal together."

Earlier this year, Cai also joined TVB's Miss Hong Kong Pageant but dropped out before the final round due to a contract conflict.

Cai said she is confident in ATV and believes the media company could provide good opportunities.

"I would like to become an actress in the future, or join some entertainment shows," Cai said. "I think it would be challenging for me."
