The ‘in-town check-in’ service used to be available for over a dozen airlines at the Hong Kong, Kowloon and Tsing Yi stations of the Airport Express, which zips between the city and the airport in less than 25 minutes. The service was suspended in April 2020 following the pandemic. It resumed in late 2023 only with Cathay Pacific staffing a handful of desks.
With the addition of Singapore Airlines, a total of four local and international airlines will provide in-town check-in service.
Starting next Monday, Singapore Airlines passengers can complete check-in procedures and baggage drop at Hong Kong Station in a convenient one-stop service during the service hours.
This service is available for flights scheduled to depart between 24 hours and at least 90 minutes before takeoff.
