Flight HX284 from Hong Kong to Taipei and flight HX285 back to Hong Kong have both been canceled.
The airline will waive all charges on rebooking, reissue, and refund for confirmed tickets of the affected flights.
According to the present forecast by the Observatory, Krathon will gradually track northwards today and move across the northeastern part of the South China Sea.
It will make landfall over the southern part of Taiwan on Wednesday (Oct 2) and move across Taiwan. The weather watchdog said Krathon's direct threat to Hong Kong is not high.
