A male suspect was shot dead by police in North Point after he threatened to stab his mother and wife following an argument.

The incident happened at around 9.20 pm on Sunday (Sep 15) at Kam Ping Mansion. A woman called the police as his husband assaulted her and her mother-in-law.
Officers shot the man, who was said to have a history of mood disorder, when he brandished a knife and a pair of scissors at them after defying repeated warnings.
The man was rushed to Ruttonjee Hospital in Chai Wan but later succumbed to his injuries.
A woman was sent to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for treatment after the incident.
A police investigation into the incident is underway.
