Budget airline HK Express announced on Thursday afternoon that six of its flights traveling between Hong Kong and Narita on Friday will be delayed due to Typhoon Ampil approaching Tokyo.
The flights UO870, UO646, UO871 and UO647 to and from Hong Kong to Narita will be delayed for one day, while flights UO650 and UO651 to and from Narita to Hong Kong will be delayed two days.
The airline said flights UO848 and UO849 to and from Narita on Friday will also be canceled.
Separately, Hong Kong Airlines said four of its flights to and from Hong Kong to Tokyo on Friday, including HX604, HX608, HX610, and HX611, will be affected.
The airline stated they will waive all charges on rebooking, reissue and refund for all tickets issued for travel for the affected flights with confirmed booking.
Passengers were advised to check the latest flight status on the airlines’ official websites or the Airport Authority’s website before leaving for the airport.
