Two arrested for assaulting police in Ngau Tau Kok brawl

Two men were arrested for assaulting police as officers were called to Ngau Tau Kok to handle a dispute on Friday morning which later escalated into a brawl, prompting police to call for back up and further dispatch four Emergency Unit vehicles. 

Police first received a report around 10.10 am that there was a heated argument opposite Kentlum Mansion on Ngau Tau Kok Road. 

Officers soon arrived and intercepted two South Asian men, who reacted emotionally and resisted and even threw punches at the officers. 

The officers immediately called for back up and at least four more Emergency Unit vehicles with police dogs rushed to the scene to help subdue the duo. 

After an investigation, the duo were arrested for assaulting police and one of them was also arrested for obstructing police. 

An officer suffered an injury to his chest. The duo also claimed they were hurt and all were sent to United Christian Hospital.
