Four arrested over Pokémon card scams involving $101,000

A delegation of the Law Society of Hong Kong will visit Beijing from April 16 to 19 and President Chan Chak-ming said the annual trip is to explore opportunities for the city’s legal profession.
During the four-day trip, the delegation will meet with the Basic Law Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC), the Ministry of Justice, the All China Lawyers Association, and the Supreme People’s Court, among others.
The visit also includes meetings with the Peking University Law School and the Renmin University of China Law School.
During the visit the Law Society will exchange views with mainland government, authorities and organs on the unique strength of the solicitors profession of Hong Kong in facilitating the connecting of the mainland to the rest of the business world.
The society will also discuss bilingual legal and dispute resolution services, common law, deal-making, commercial and corporate expertise offered by the profession, and how it can contribute to the training of legal professional talent and the construction of the rule of law for the country.
The delegation will return to Hong Kong on April 20.
