Human skeletal remains found in Mong Kok residential unit

Police are investigating a case over a human skeleton that was found in a flat in Mong Kok and believed the remains to be those of the tenant.

The misery was revealed after a security guard of a building located on 1 Chung Wui Street reported that the male tenant in his 50s had not been seen for several days and had not been answering the door.

Neighbors said there was a stench coming from the unit but were shocked after learning that it was from the decomposing body.

The case was listed as a body found, and the coroner will determine the cause of death as well as the time of death.

Sources said the man lived alone in the flat and was disease-ridden.
