Tsang, who will be sitting this year’s DSE exams, left his school during the lunch break on Wednesday and took the East Rail Line to travel from Mong Kok East station to Shek Mun station, where he was last seen.
His family later failed to contact him and made a police report.
Tsang is about 1.63 meters tall, 50 kilograms in weight and is thin. He was last seen wearing a white short-sleeved shirt, gray trousers, black leather shoes and a black mask.
Tsang’s mother said his son left his phone in the backpack in the classroom when he went out for lunch.
She also said Tsang recently suffers from stomachache and insomnia because of overwhelming academic pressure, and he was about to revisit a psychiatrist that day.
“He has never gone away like this before,” Tsang’s mother said.
Tsang was the captain of the school’s dragon boat team last year and only a member this year. The team usually train in Shek Mun and Tsang’s mother believes Tsang went there because of his fond memories there.
Tsang’s father also revealed that he just drove Tsang to training this Sunday (Oct 1) and everything was fine.
The family appealed to citizens to take a photo if they see him or even approach and talk to him if possible.
“Tell him mom and dad love him and miss him very much,” Tsang’s mother also said.
Replying to inquiries, headmaster Ronnie Cheng Kay-yen said the school has been in close contact with Tsang’s family and the police. He also called on the public to pray for Tsang so that he can return home safe and sound.
Police urge anyone who knows the whereabouts of Tsang or may have seen him to contact the Regional Missing Persons Unit of Hong Kong Island on 2860 1040 or 9886 0034, email to rmpu-hki@police.gov.hk, or contact any police station.
