A woman was taken away by the national security police for questioning on Saturday, and sources said that woman is the sister-in-law of fugitive Nathan Law Kwun-chung.
It was understood that national security police searched the home of Law’s family in a Tung Chung estate and then took away Law’s sister-in-law.
Replying to the media, police said they took away a woman in North Lantau on Saturday for investigation for allegedly aiding a fugitive in endangering national security.
Police said the operation is ongoing and that they may make more arrests.
This came as police earlier also took away Yu Chi-yan, a woman reports say is the godmother of activist Joshua Wong Chi-fung, to investigate if Yu had any monetary transaction with Law.
Police announced on July 3 a HK$1 million bounty each on eight fugitives, including Law. The other seven are Kevin Yam, Elmer Yuen, Anna Kwok, Dennis Kwok, Ted Hui, Mun Siu-tat, and Finn Lau.
