Ferries connecting North Point to Hung Hom and Kowloon City suspended

All sailings between North Point and Hung Hom, and between North Point and Kowloon City will be suspended starting Thursday (Mar 3) until further notice, operator Sun Ferry announced on Wednesday. 

The ferry company has already adjusted ferry services of its Central – Cheung Chau route and Central – Mui Wo route starting Sunday (Feb 27), reducing sailings in the morning and evening. 

The adjustments were made due to dramatic decrease in patronage, with businesses arranging staff to work from home and suspension of in-person classes. The pandemic also calls for more stringent vessel cleansing. 

The company also said 360 staffers, or 30 percent of its workforce, have been affected by anti-pandemic policies such as mandatory testing and isolation.
