Another cold snap will hit Hong Kong starting today, with temperatures falling to a minimum of 11 degrees, and further dipping to 8 degrees this Friday and Saturday, according to the Hong Kong Observatory.

The observatory said the winter monsoon is now affecting Guangdong and is strengthening gradually, temperatures over Guangdong will remain low early to midweek next week while the weather will become fine.
The low temperatures will remain for five days until next Wednesday, according to the official nine-day forecast.
The Centre for Health Protection reminded members of the public to take care of the elderly and those with chronic medical conditions.
