He allegedly threw a water bottle in the direction of the police at the junction of Shantung Street and Nathan Road in Mong Kok. People were gathering there at about 10:40pm last night and they were given repeated warnings to leave for breaching social distancing rules, police said.
Kwong was sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after reported feeling unwell
His party's lawmaker, Andrew Wan Siu-kin, said Kwong is suffering from a fever and neck injury and is still in hospital.
Wan, who was injured in the chaotic Legislative Council House Committee meeting last Friday, said he will give a statement to police later today. He accused pro-establishment lawmakers Wong Ting-kwong and Junius Ho Kwan-yiu of elbowing him.
The meeting was briefly suspended as he was being treated and carried out on a stretcher.
