The Li Ka Shing Foundation and Hong Kong Disneyland will jointly invite 5,000 foreign domestic helpers from different ethnic backgrounds to enjoy free visits to the theme park this year, in recognition of their contributions to Hong Kong families.
The scheme has expanded beyond Filipino domestic helpers to include participants from Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Thailand. The quota has also been increased from 4,000 last year to 5,000 this year.
Two visit dates have been scheduled for March 29 and April 12. Each eligible participant will receive a one-day admission ticket to Hong Kong Disneyland, meal vouchers covering two full meals and one special snack, and an Octopus card for transportation to and from the resort.
To facilitate recruitment and coordination, the foundation has partnered with three non-governmental organizations: the Indonesian Migrant Workers Union, Bethune House, and Christian Action.
